Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center and Municipal Conveyance Project Ceremony making the start of construction work held at the Airport New City of Shenzhen Baoan District, in September 28th. The first phase of International Convention and Exhibition Center will be put into operation on September, 2018. It will be the largest Convention and Exhibition Center in the world.
Shenzhen will add a new card
Ma XingRui, the deputy secretary of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the secretary of Shenzhen Party Committee, and Xuqing, the mayor of Shenzhen jointly host the ceremony. Li JianHong, the president of the China Merchants Group, Li XiaoPeng, the general manager of the China Metallurgical Group, and Guo WenQing, the president of China Metallurgical Group Corporation,and Duan XianNian, the president of the Overseas Chinese Town attended this ceremony.
Ma XingRui has mentioned that Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center project will be a vital part for Shenzhen development, which also enjoys great importance of improving city’s functions and images, as well as creating Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area. He indicated that all the enterprises participate in the construction should speed up the construction of the world-class century project, with the goal of “ First class design, construction, and operation” and hard working. In order to realize the early completion of Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center and provide strong support for establishing the new modern international innovative city, all of us should make good use of this trial to transform government functions, streamline adminstration and delegate more powers to lower-level government and to society, optimize the reviewing section and deeper improve administration.
Li XiaoPeng has represented the project construction and operation unit to make speech, in which he expressed that both the China Metallurgical Group and the Overseas Chinese Town should seize the opportunity to combine their own resources and mature operation modes with the innovative mechanism and system of Shenzhen. According to the world-class conference and exhibition requirements to explore a new model of operation marketization, service internationalization and content diversification, add a new card with international humanistic quality and open characteristic of special zone to Shenzhen.
Being the world’s top convention & exhibitiion center
It is reported that, Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition center, one of the three major buildings of “Two center, one museum.”, which locates at the Airport New City which is the top of Guangdong, Hongkong and Macao Bay Area, the core and the east-west development corridor of Pearl River Delta, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Macao, as well as the interchange between the lion ocean and the Lingding ocean. The Airport New City will also be the site for the International Convention Center and New Science and Technology Museum.
Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center occupies about 1.48 million square meters, the total investment in the first phase and the surrounding facilities has reached 86.7 billion yuan. The net area of first phase will be the second largest in the world behind the Hannover Exhibition Center of German, while the first largest convention and exhibition center at home. After the whole-round establishment, it will at top in the world.
Itis said that, since the Shenzhen municipal government officially prepared the launching of Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center for one year, they had figured out the way of making investment, construction, and operation that attracted the Strategic Management Group, Incorporated and the union of China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone Holdings Co., Ltd and Overseas Chinese Town Enterprises Co., Ltd taking over the construction, operation of center as well as the development of the peripheral supporting business issues through bidding , and the government was in charge of supervising the whole construction and operation of center. By means of risk-sharing and win-win cooperation between the government and investor to achieve the goal of “First-class design, first-class construction, first-class operation.”
Municipal and commercial facilities will enjoy synchronous construction
Statistics show that there are total 19 exhibition halls in Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center, and each of the exhibition halls with area of 20,000 square meters except one hall with 40,000 square meters. According to the international first-class exhibition center standard, all the exhibition halls are designed to single layer, large span and no column. In addition, the project is equipped with 510,000 square meters of the conference, office, catering, warehousing and other functions, as well as 550,000 square meters of parking areas, Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center can definitely meet the needs of various large-scale exhibition activities.
According to the schedule, the first phase of Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition center will be completed and put into use on September, 2018. The surrounding roads and corridors that build in the same period will be completed synchronously. Among them, the airport new city with the total length of 16.92 km, and its surrounding roads are of 29.282 km.
In addition, hotel, shop, office and apartment are included in the first phase of Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center, all of them occupy with 100,000 square meters, 70,000 square meters, 80,000 square meters, and 90,000 square meters respectively. The total commercial area will reach 34,1470 square meters.
The establishment of Shenzhen International Conference and Exhibition Center will not only better promote the construction of Airport New City, the industrial development of Shenzhen but play an important role in modernization and internationalization of Shenzhen.
