The Secretary General has visited the Belgium guest

On April 11, the secretary general and other members of our association have visited the Consulate General of Belgium in Guangzhou. Mr. Joris Salden, the consul of Consulate General, who has warmly received us in his residence. During this visit, Mr. Joris Salden invited the Flanders District Business Office investment director of Consulate General of Belgium in Guangzhou Mr. Hugh Guangbin Zeng, the Shenzhen office trade and the investment officer of Consulate General of Belgium Brussels Invest and Export Ms. Crystal He, the commercial officer of Consulate General of Belgium in Wallonia Export-Investment Agency Ms. Clara Yang, and the visa assistant Ms. Jiayu Li to jointly introduce the current favourable policy in Belgium for welcoming Shenzhen enterprises make investment. They also said that, Belgium would like to actively participate in the “ Belt and Road” initiative of China, and promote China-Belgium cooperation even China-EU in a wide range of areas.

Mr. Joris Salden told us that Belgium famed as “the heart of Europe”, no matter in geographically or culturally, for locating in the cross-road of Europe. Belgium is a country with highly openness and good political environment. Brussles is not only the location of Europe Union but the meeting city for more than 200 international administrative centers and more than 1000 offical groups. In recent years, since the second largest port in Europe, Antwerp port is on the the Silk Road Economic Belt, which has close the economic and trade ties between China and Belgium. The development of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road will definitely strengthen the  connection betwen Antwerp and Shenzhen. In order to better promote all-round exchanges and cooperation for both sides, Mr. Joris Salden expressed that they would like to actively provide more information about Belgium for us and our member enterprises to capture business opportunity in Belgium.

All of them have introduced their respective competitive industries and investment environment, and warmly welcome Shenzhen enterprises to invest in Belgium. Mr. Hugh Guangbin Zeng indicated that , Flanders is a district with strong strength in logistic, automobile, telecommunication, re-newable energy, chemical industry and real estate, which plays a great important role in Belgium economy and trade. Ms. Crystal He talked about Brussels industrial advantages and policy, as well as humanities and business environment, especially financing, IC design, biomedicine, and environmental technology. Ms. Clara Yang also introduced the advantageous industries, including food and drink, environmental protection, logistic, mechanical, and high-tech. Ms. Yang also highlighted that they warmly welcome Shenzhen enterprises settle in the CBTC, which is not only the strategic fulcrum of “Belt and Road” initiative but the first science and technology park that invested by China in Europe.

Shenzhen Foreign Economic Trade and Investment Development Promotion Association would like to actively make cooperation with Belgium and set up a bridge of economic, science and technology strategic cooperation between China and Belgium, so as to become the window and platform for strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Belgium.
