【Movements】 Our Association had work exchange with the Counsellor of the Head of the Economic Section of Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan
With “The Belt and Road” connecting the world, the world is changing profoundly, making China’s Dream to contact the world dream. In response to“ The Belt and Road” Initiative and strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between our member companies and the enterprises along the route, the general secretary of our association started five-day business trip from 4th September to 8th September.
China International Contractors Association
In the afternoon of 5th September, our general secretary visited China International Contractors Association. Mrs. Wanghe, the vice chairman and associate professor, Ms. Zhangfang, the deputy director of Department of Project Contracting&Investment, Mr. Tang Zhenyu, the deputy director of Strategy&Consulting Department, Mr. Mi Jindi, the deputy director of Membership&Training Department, and Mr. Dongchao, from Conference&Expo Center gave us warm welcome and reception and held exchange conference. The two sides were willing to have the exchanges and discussion on how to help Shenzhen enterprises to go global and participate in the issue of infrastructure construction, contracting international projects, and contracting international labour services of the countries along “ The Belt and Road”.
Vice President Wanghe told us that China International Contractors Association is a national industry organization composed of China's foreign contracted projects, labor service cooperation, engineering investment and related service enterprises. With more than 1,300 member enterprises, over 1,000 companies are engaged in foreign contracted projects and engineering investment, covering the business of transportation construction, power construction, housing construction, petrochemical, communications engineering construction, water conservancy construction , Industrial construction and manufacturing and processing facilities. Subsequently, Ms. Zhangfang, Mr. Tang Zhenyu, Mr. Mi Jindi and Mr. Dong Chao introduced the basic situation of the departments respectively. Our Secretary General said that China International Contractors Association is a national advanced industry organization with its influential and prominent position. Our association is looking forward to cooperating with them in the future to provide services of overseas investment advice.
Finally, the two sides agreed to establish a more stable contact mechanism with long term, jointly setting up a platform for enterprises to provide exchanges and cooperation for Chinese enterprises to better participate in international competition, offering the help to explore the international market.
Sweden
On the morning of 6th September, our general secretary visited Maisoun Jabali, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Swedish Embassy in China. Our two sides held a pleasant meeting.
Ms. Maisoun Jabali expressed her warm welcome to our visit. She mentioned that Sweden was the first Western country to establish diplomatic relations with China and the first country to sign trade agreements and investment protection agreements with China. At present, great achievements have been made in all levels of exchanges and cooperation in the fields of political, economy, culture. Endowed with advanced industry, Sweden houses remarkable technology in clean energy, telecommunications, smart city, and bio-pharmaceutical industry. In particular, Sweden has always been committed to the exploration and development of clean energy, accumulating rich and valuable experience. Ms. Maisoun Jabali stated that she is willing to promote the deep cooperation in the field of clean energy for enterprises in Sweden and Shenzhen.
Our general secretary said that Sweden, a innovative country, is one of the countries with the most innovative achievements and inventions in the world. China is accelerating the construction of an innovation-oriented country, in which Shenzhen will focus on strategic emerging industries as the key industries and hope to use high technology to transform the traditional industries to promote the original innovation capacity and key core technology innovation capacity. Under the background of "Made in China 2025" and Swedish "Smart Industry" Strategy, we hope we can jointly promote the cooperation in the fields of clean energy , smart city, life sciences, green finance and others in the future.
As a high level and public service platform to help Shenzhen enterprises expand the market at home and abroad, we also welcomed the cooperation for Swedish advanced technology and innovative resources with Shenzhen enterprises. We would like to help the seamless industrial matchmaking of Swedish and Shenzhen enterprises, working together to promote economic prosperity between the two sides.
Bulgaria
On the morning of 7th of September, our general secretary visited Mr. STOIAN NIKOLOV, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of Bulgarian Embassy in China and introduced the basic condition of our association, the general situation of Shenzhen economic and trade, and the competitive industries. Bulgaria is the gateway to the Eurasian continent, and also the door to the European market. In recent years, with the promotion of “ The Belt and Road” Initiative, the “16+1”cooperation platform of China and Central and Eastern European countries and bilateral local economic and trade cooperation platform, China and Bulgaria shared steady development of economic and trade relationship, accelerating the growth of bilateral trade, diversifying the aspects of cooperation.
Mr. STOIAN NIKOLOV said that Shenzhen and Plovdiv are friendly cities with frequent exchanges and welcomed us to organize the delegations to investigate and establish cooperative enterprises in Bulgaria. Bulgaria, as a member of EU, has a sound competitive incentive mechanism, for example, in terms of taxation, investors can enjoy the lowest tax rate in Europe. Shenzhen enterprises are welcomed to invest in Bulgaria.
Bulgaria is an important country along the Silk Road Economic Belt, while Shenzhen is the hub city of “The Belt and Road”, the two sides have solid foundation and broad prospects for the exchanges and cooperation on “The Belt and Road”. We have deeply known about the information of the economic and trade investment in Bulgaria through this visit. We hope that we can promote the pragmatic cooperation of Shenzhen and Bulgarian enterprises in all areas in the framework of “The Belt and Road” development strategy to leverage both advantages of resources, technology, and industry to realize the complementary matchmaking and jointly write the new chapter of a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.
Finland
On the morning of 8thof September, our general secretary visited Ms.HELENA JAUNIAINEN, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of Finland Embassy in China, PhD Zhubin, the director of Invest in Finland, Finpro and Ministry of Economic Affairs & Employment, Finland, and Grace Wang, the Trade Commissioner of Finland Trade Center. The two sides had a pleasant conversation.
The meeting discussed about the possible future cooperation between Shenzhen and Finland, especially the competitive areas, for example, ecological environment protection and governance, tourism, science and technology innovation, information communication and education.
Ms.HELENA JAUNIAINEN said that China and Finland have mutually complementary economies. Finland has strong advantages in the fields of forestry paper, electrical and electronic, mechanical manufacturing, metal processing and advanced technology in information and communication, energy and environmental protection.
Our general secretary said that China is fully promoting the modernization drive, and committing to building a resource-saving and environmentally-friendly society. As the forefront city of China’s Reform and Opening up, Shenzhen has great needs for the advanced products and high technology of Finland. There’s huge potential for the enterprises of the two countries with sound prospects.
Ms. HELENA JAUNIAINEN mentioned that in April 2017, President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Finland and jointly issued Joint Declaration between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Finland on Establishing and Promoting the Future-oriented New-type Cooperative Partnership. And the two sides will strengthen the cooperation under the framework of China and Europe, promote and implement the China-EU 2020 Strategic Agenda for Cooperation, and facilitate the exchanges between China and Nordic countries to develop the planning and matchmaking. With the signing of the related documents and the extension of “The Belt and Road” Initiative to the north of Europe, there will be highlights of the considerable cooperation in the aspects of scientific and technological innovation, clean energy, energy saving and environmental protection.
Commissioner Grace Wang said that Finland enjoys high level of cultural education and science & technology which lies good foundation of promoting scientific and technological innovation. At present, Finland has paid more attention to the development of education, education exchange, and education training and looked forward to the future cooperation between Finland and Shenzhen in the field of education.
Dr. Zhu Bin said that Guangdong Province has more than 20 investment projects in Finland, accounting for one-third of China's total investment in Finland, hoping that we can promote more cooperation in communications engineering, clean technology, bio-economic and other areas in the future.
Our general secretary expected to put forward multidimensional cooperation in the following areas. And this visit will strengthen the cooperation between our member enterprises and Nordic enterprises, leaving a consolidated basis in exploring the European countries.
Kazakhstan
In the afternoon of 8th of September, our general secretary visited Ms. Dauren Rakhmetov, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of Kazakhstan Embassy in China. The two sides had a very friendly and delightful talk.
Kazakhstan is one of the most important countries along “The Belt and Road” and has maintained sound diplomatic relations with China over many years. Since the two countries have cooperated in capacity production in 2015, the Sino-Kazakhstan cooperation projects have flowed in Kazakhstan. In promoting the development of Kazakhstan’s society, Chinese enterprises have also enjoyed opportunity of “Going Global”. Ms. Dauren Rakhmetov also introduced the current market situation and investment policy.
She mentioned that Kazakhstan is the largest landlocked country in the world, with abundant natural resources and mineral resources such as coal, iron and copper. In September 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping also presented a strategic idea of building the "Silk Road Economic Belt" at the University of Nazarbayev. Under the framework of “ The Belt and Road” Initiative, the economic cooperation between the two countries is stepping into a multi-level and multi-faceted development on the basis of energy cooperation. We are willing to continue to support the “The Belt and Road”Initiative and help to carry out the pragmatic cooperation of the small and media-sized enterprises in China and Kazakhstan.
Our general secretary showed gratitude for the welcome and reception of Ms.Dauren Rakhmetov, hoping to establish contact with Kazakhstan through this visit and promote the cooperation of the SMEs of the two sides in the fields of science and technology innovation, clean energy, ecological agriculture, tourism, and agricultural products processing. We are willing to help Kazakhstan enterprises to know more about the needs of the Chinese market, and jointly promote the development of both companies.
As China's ancient saying goes: "A thousand journey takes every step". The construction of “The Belt and Road” is a great career to be carried forward. Shenzhen Foreign Economic Trade and Investment Development Promotion Association will continue to work hard step by step to promote and implement every cooperation plan, contributing to helping Shenzhen enterprises to “Go Global” and participating the construction of “The Belt and Road” and international capacity cooperation.
